About Des..........
Des Anthony has been crafting his superb
handmade musical instruments since 1974.
Currently based in Brisbane, Australia, Des is a graduate of
the Charles Fox Earthworks guitar making school (1975),
and has gained a wide reputation for the excellence and
uniqueness of his work Australia-wide.
Des is also a registered repairer for many brand-name guitars
(Takamine, Aria, Rodriguez, Ovation, Tanglewood, Magnum, Michael Kelly, Cort, Cole Clark)
plus several local music stores.(Music 440, The Music Spot, Best Music Shop)
In May 2000 Des won second place in the prestigious
Australia-wide "Outback Timbers" woodwork competition
for one of his superb resonator guitars.
Specialising in custom made stringed instruments, Des also
plays pedal steel guitar both live and in studio sessions -
always using his own creations of course!
